Buh-bye, Cry-tler

Post  pseudoswede on Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:29 pm

As a Bears fan, I'm hating this trade.

That said, I would love to be proven wrong.

To make matters even worse, I bet a friend two beers that the Donkeys wouldn't get a first-rounder for Cry-tler. They got two. From Da Bears. That stung.

On a bright note, about an hour before the trade was announced, I was given two free tix to the Bears/Broncos pre-season game from a disgruntled Broncos season ticket holder.

I figured as a bears fan you would be happy... You have a QB now..

And as for those tickets... If for any reason you can't make it, you know where to find me Wink

No, we have a Jeff George-wannabe now. I've yet to be convinced we have a QB that can actually lead a team.

Already got a kitchen pass from the wife. Sorry. Wink

As far as talent is concerned the Bears finally have a QB w/all the tools. Now, that said, having the tools and being one are completely different. If dude matures enough the Bears will be much better. For a change they can design an offense around their QB's talents rather than dink and dunk, Defense takes the field. It's been a VERY long time since the bears have had anything decent behind center so if I were a fan I would def' welcome that change of scenery.
