Just got coolered. I probably bet the turn, but that wouldn't have changed the outcome.

With that flop and turn, you know he's not going anywhere so would I make him pay to see more cards. AA with that flop, I would guess that he's just slowplaying and waiting for you to catch-up. The turn A makes him think he is un-touchable so he's definately not folding here. The 9 pairing the board on the river was the one of the worst cards you could have seen.
I would lose alot of money with this hand as well.

Re: How badly did I screw the pooch?
Well, my thought was that I raise his flop bet, to make him pay to chase overpair or his A9 or AT....
But then, I'm thinking a player bad enough to check AA in a three way limped pot in the BB, is bad enough to call an overshove on the flop or turn. However, I still think I played this way too trappy.

Re: How badly did I screw the pooch?
You were trying to trap, which I would have done the same given the situation. I actually like the A on the turn as this card allows the villain to think he's ahead. Unfortunately, it was a bad outcome and I don't see anything that I'd do much different except maybe just call the re-raise.
I doubt you get this person to lay down at any point in this hand. Only possibility would be to push on the flop and that would even look like a bluff bet, which he calls. Then the slow play, which I agree with, would allow him to see the A on the turn to which he doesn't lay down on fourth or fifth street. Any way you look at it, you were going to be losing some chips.
Tough beat.

I bust on this hand every time. That 9 pairing the board is sick.
