Golden Gates Monthly Freeroll Tournament

I may have mentioned that GG is starting a new promotion. Don't know if I can log 50 hours in one month to participate, but it could be profitable. Also, they have changed their bad beat to aces full of jacks and last I knew it was ~$130k.

Below is the excerpt from their website:

Golden Gates Poker Parlour
$25,000 DEEP STACK Monthly Free Roll
Starting August 1st.

1st PLACE $10,000 GUARANTEED*

Any player who plays 50 hours of tracked live action poker using their Golden Rewards card during a calendar month, beginning
August 1-31, 2008, will earn an entry into the monthly $25,000 DEEP STACK Free Roll.
Players earn hours by playing live Hold’em or Omaha in the Golden Gates Poker Parlour Monday thru Sunday 10 am to 2 am.

Players are responsible for using and turning in their tracking time cards to the supervisor on duty. Time cards that are not turned in
immediately when the player is done will not earn qualifying hours towards their Free Roll entry.

If there are more than 50 players who qualify, we will structure the tournament as follows:

Flight A…. The first Tuesday of each month following a qualifying month
Flight B…. The first Wednesday of each month following a qualifying month
Final Day…. The first Thursday of each month following a qualifying month

*A minimum of 51 players must qualify and participate in the Free Roll or the total prize pool drops to $10,000.

Prizes will be paid to the final table as follows:

1st Place…$10,000
2nd Place…$4,000
3rd Place…$2,250
4th Place…$2,000
5th Pl ace…$1,750
6th Place…$1,500
7th Place…$1,250
8th Place…$1,000
9th Place…$750
10th Place…$500

All players will start with 10,000 in tournament chips.
Rounds will be 20 Minutes long.
TDA will be used unless CDOG or House Policies supersede them.

For the record the bad beat at the gates is 140K and ACES FULL OF JACKS!!!!

Did you notice a surge in the games their at GG due to the bad beat change? I figured this may get some of the players from the Lodge.

Since I always lose at gates and win at the lodge I don't think I will be making the switch
