Haha, in that case, too bad I couldn't transfer a hand from Bodog to the Lodge. Turned quads beaten by turned straight flush.

Trip Report:

Ian lose money.

Wife lose money.

Ian drink beer. Ian lose more money. Ian drink more beer.

Ian hate Ameristar.

Wife win some money back. Then lose it all.

Ian lose more money, drink more beer.

I get's into a heated politics discussion with some bitch who fought in Iraq, but hates Bush, would have voted for Hillary but hates Obama, so she is going to vote for Mcain confused confused confused

lose more drink more go home......

to summarize it was one of those nights that makes you guys hate 2-5 so much.....river after river of chasing down with bottom pair, gutterballs, etc.

I broke even at the texas hold em table game after playing for an hour, should have stayed there.

(FYI the Lodge wait list was 47 deep, which is how we ended up at Ameristar)

at the Lodge now and badbeat is over 380k! They changed the distribution to 40% to the main jackpot and 30% to the other two. I guess they also moved 50k of the third jackpot to the first jackpot. It would be nice...

Played 5-5 and got right in but the 2-5 list was 2 hours long.

Re: Lodge Bad Beat

My sister went up today for her birthday and gave me the following figures for the current bad beat jackpot which still has not hit.

Jackpot 1: $428,132
Jackpot 2: $304,459
Jackpot 3: $260,154

I did a little math to see what the payouts would be if it hit today. $171k to the losing hand, $128k for the winning hand and $16k (10 handed) table share for just throwing your cards into the muck. Veddy Nice!

I don't know how long they have been updating their webpage, but I found the following information and it appears to be up to date.

I'm going to head up tonight after work for an evening of dreaded 2-5, but with the bad beat still so high, I'll take my chances. Website shows $562k as of October 10th.

$562k? That's just gross.

I'm planning a trip up the hill when wifey's outta town, for a Saturday or Sunday noon tourney at the Gates...guess I'll have to follow that up with some $2-5 disgustery, just for BBJ purposes.

Re: Lodge Bad Beat

Post  Scrupboy on Wed Oct 22, 2008 9:58 am

I went up again last night and donked off $150 in quick fashion. There was even a period of close to two hours (3.5 dealers) that I could not win a hand and hadn't even mucked a winning hand. It was a very long and drawn out evening.

Just wanted to mention that they are changing the details of receiving a portion of the bad beat within the room. It just started yesterday and I only have verbal confirmation from one of the dealers. They are now going to spread out 10% of the jackpot when it's hit amongst those in the room that have their players card checked. This can come out to a decent chunk of change for just being in the room when the BB hits (we were thinking about $500 a piece last night). Not everyone remembers or knows that they need to check in with their players card when you're at a table. Previously, they were offering $50/person if the BB hit. You also receive $1/hour towards comps with your players card.

The primary jackpot is now over $607k and growing!
