Lodge Bad Beat
Just thought I would post the amount of the bad beats at The Lodge. My sister was recently there and was told that they hit the first one last Sunday for approximately $232,000. The other two were at $225,000 each so now 1 and 2 are still $225,000.
I'm always curious as to when it hits and haven't found a place that updates this information regularly (even their own website shows information form January). Many of you aren't BH limit players, but this would be a good place to lay this information out. I will post information here whenever I hear of updates or make a visit.

what do each of the jackpots mean? Different games? Different qualifying hands?

I'm assuming this is for the $2-5 at The Lodge.
They fund three levels of bad beats so that if one is hit, it doesn't automatically drop back down to $0 (or whatever the minimum is). That would drive patrons away to other casinos with bigger BBJs.
So if a bad beat is hit, level 1 ($225k) is paid out. Then "level 2" moves up to "level 1" and "level 3" moves to "level 2", and "level 3" is whatever The Lodge starts the jackpot at (looks like $100k).

Yes, this is correct. It's the bad beat for 2-5 or 5-5. I don't believe the jackpot is house funded at this point and the third starts out with whatever was accumulated for the day the bad beat hits. This $119k is the amount that has been taken in since it was hit 2 weeks ago. Can you imagine how much they take in rake! It's also a good idea to get an Aces card and make sure your logged in when playing. If the bad beat hits while your in a live action game, you get $50 for just being logged into the system with your Aces card.

Love to, except the wife is not too thrilled about my recent amount of trips up the hill. Looks like I'll be on hiatus from poker for a while. Played last night for 8 hours and won $3 after final tabling the 3:00 tournament at The Gilpin and missing the money. *sigh*

I'm thinking of going up Sunday (but likely not in time for the noon tourneys). More than likely will donk it online from home. $20 in gas is a hell of a rake.

What's the qualifier at the Lodge? I haven't stepped foot in that place in at least two years.

It's a minimum of quads beaten. Both cards in both players hands must improve the board to qualify and quads can only be achieved with pocket pairs (i.e. AK vs JJ and a board of AAAJJ would NOT qualify). The breakdown is 40% to the losing hand, 30% to the winning hand and 30% split among the rest of the table. Around 10k for just sitting at a full table when it's hit.
