Denver Poker Forum
PoWda...I know you are banned from the site, but has anyone else noticed that there is NO traffic on that site anymore. I know that there was only real traffic when ther Free Bar Poker Forum had some juice on it, but still....
And I quote Swingers..."That place is dead anyways!"

Re: Denver Poker Forum
I was able to visit there today via my cellphone (no login). There is only one thread with ANY action for the last month. How is it that this site with only 17 members seems to have 100x more action (if not more)?

Re: Denver Poker Forum
I think everyone finally caught on that no one there actually plays poker.
That, and the fear that if you post something Brian Masters might post in your thread and turn it in to some drama about rogue dealers flinging chips like chinese stars at innocent poker players.....

That's because we're so LAGgy, and like to splash around every pot.
I still check that forum once or twice every day, just to see if anyone has anything to say. Apparentely, not.
Re: Denver Poker Forum
I've actually deleted their link out of my favorites folder.
If they're willing to ban me for posting an online tourney invite, I guess it's just time to move on. I've noticed that most of the "good" posters have already come over to this site and are much more willing to talk about poker.
If I ever feel the need to start a Masters flame war, I can always go back.

Re: Denver Poker Forum
I have not visited the site in weeks. Like you all say, same old stuff which is great if you are into bar poker. I believe the discussions here is much more poker related and not as dramatic. I was going to check out the site, but it seems most of you have informed me that I am missing nothing.
Re: Denver Poker Forum
I havn't been there since I started this forum so over 2 months now. I am glad I did start this one as the members here post better and more regularly than anyhting over there. I never had a problem with the site but jeez.. I mean they ban people for talking about another site and don't allow you to talk about online poker... I think there is one strategy section over there? (there is one right?) anyway it isn't that I ever had any problem with that site, that is not why I created this one, but banning me and Keith... That is a little on the gay side.
Re: Denver Poker Forum
Actually Danny, I think that banning you (and probably Keith) was a pretty solid move. You were definitely bringing the forum down.

You're right. Creating posts and threads on topic at a discussion forum should be avoided at all costs. Someday everyone on this site will learn to "not post" as well as Denverpoker.com.

Re: Denver Poker Forum
Before Rick and the site disappeared unexpectedly after the on-line poker ban, it really was a happening place for local poker discussions as well as lots of home games (look at all of the posts from 2004/2005 in the strategy sections). Unfortunately, since it disappeared for such a long time, along with a long ban on anything related to online poker, it's never been the same.

Re: Denver Poker Forum
Yeah the only reason I made this site was because I was sick of not being able to talk about online poker. I never made this site to compete with Dp.com, only to fill a wide open niche of players from colorado who do play online. Maybe I should ban discussion of live poker and we can all live in harmonypseudoswede wrote:Before Rick and the site disappeared unexpectedly after the on-line poker ban, it really was a happening place for local poker discussions as well as lots of home games (look at all of the posts from 2004/2005 in the strategy sections). I blame me. It's hard to post when you are living at a hospital.idh78 wrote:geez this forum is dead lately....hope it isn't turning into another DP
Someone needs to host a game or something.
