I got about 3 weeks off when Evan was born and had his problems but I am back now, and it sucks.

Could be worse...you could still have time off because of further complications. I don't think anyone wants that.

Anyway, how's life with the little one? I remember how much *fun* I had when I was just getting used to the different sleep patterns and priorities. I don't think anyone ever gets used to the change... Rolling Eyes

I guess we can all assume that no news is good news. Very Happy

He is great.

Been home for a week and was on oxygen until yesterday. It's amazing how fast he has healed.

Glad to hear all is well with Evan!

Yeah, work sucks. I am getting my ass kicked with all the things I have to get done at work. It's actually effected my ability to play poker. Good news is I just bought GTA IV and can't wait to go spend the entire evening on the 360! Very Happy

I never got through Vice City on my PS2.

I'm thinking about getting a Wii though.

We have a Wii. The only game we have for it is Wii Sports. Plenty of entertainment for my wife.

I however, have managed to beat both Vice City and San Andreas on my PS2. I really want to get the PS3 so I can get GTA4, but still can't justify the $500 pricetag just yet.

The new exercise program for women on the Wii is what got my to thinking about getting one. Don't tell my wife. Laughing

Apparently buying an elliptical machine wasn't a strong enough hint. Cool

I've been stuck on Call of Duty 4 (when I get the chance to play) for the last few weeks. The reviews for GTA IV have been astounding. Every major video game review website has given this game a perfect score. This is unheard of in the video game industry. I can't wait to get home and see what all the fuss is about!

Yeah I have a ton of homework to do tonight but I might end up buying GTA4 and a $5 footlong and camping out in the living room tonight, not sleeping, and being late for work tomorrow using the baby keeping me up all night as my excuse.

GTA IV is a good game! I over-hyped myself up with anticipation of this game that I didn't quite feel justified after playing it for 5 hours last night. First off, I had a meeting with a school for one of the kids and had to pick stuff up for one of the kid's science project. So finally, at about 9:00 PM I started playing. One thing I noticed is that the brightness needed adjusted and it was tough to read some of the dialog (cell phone, tips). This was in HD format on a 52" screen so I'm not sure what to make of that. After getting used to the controls, it was on! I started to really get into the game at about 1:00 AM, but needed to get some sleep. It plays a lot like GTA III, but you really have to be a programmer or engineer to appreciate the detail put into the game. The physics alone while rear ending someone or being dragged from a car are simply amazing. The game does pick up later and it was kind of cool to get a lap dance for only $50. There is so much to do in the game... now if I can just get some extra time to play. Anyway! It's a worthy game, but don't expect "blow your mind" type of game.

If they have copies at either the game stop or the circuit city by my house I will buy it on the way home from work. I am guessing the chances of it being sodl out are pretty good. Anyway a guy from another forum i am on suggested actually watching the TV inyour apartment, he said it was funny.

I was at Target yesterday in the Mall and they had about 20 copies still around 8PM. The TV in the apartment IS funny. They spoof so many shows it's hilarious. I'm told that later on you can actually join online dating sites and that you can surf the web within the game and even get spam email. lol

What is the world coming to these days? Who wants to play a game where you get spam e-mail? That is just too funny.

Maybe once I win the lottery I might actually get this game. I've been a huge fan of the GTA series and was really disappointed it wasn't supported on the PS2 platform. Sad

Come on Dexman! As an Engineer, you must know that version 5.x can't be supported on a platform using 4.x. Cool Besides, do people still play PS2's and regular Xbox's. I soft modded my xbox to accept burned DVDs, old console roms (GoldenEye on N64 still rocks), and divx format to view my downloaded porn movies.

If only I was an engineer who worked with electrical things. I can do roadways, sewer systems, land development, and construction. I know nothing of the electrical world... I can install a ceiling fan though. I don't think that would help me much here.

There is always a way to get version 5.x to work on a 4.x platform. You just need to keep working at it, and it ususally costs more than just upgrading to the 5.x platform anyways.

True, true.

You must be a GIS specialist. Back when I was a software developer I used to work in Magic, the software language used in SmallWorld. Then we moved over to our own proprietary system called AnyGIS which would allow import of ArcGIS and AutoCAD. Also wrote AutoCAD third party development tools... I'm a dork!
