lol ...and it's always nice to win $0.79 with the mortal nuts. Reminds me of a $8 win I had in a 2/5 game when I flopped a royal and checked it down to the river, then bet $5 to fold, fold, fold, fold.

That 9 kicker really had me worried. The only reason I didn't push this hand more was that this table had quickly become very tight. When I sat down just about every hand was raised to 6-8 cents to go. By the time this hand came, typically the table would fold around to the blinds. This was one of the main reasons this was my last hands for the night (in addition to this kicking me into the positive for the evening, and that it was then about 11:30pm and time for bed).

Indeed.

With a $3 buy-in and .01/.02 blinds. I'll take a 79 cent scoop any chance I can. Very Happy

$30? I thought it was like $10....either way...if someone else makes a hand that's not really going to be a problem.

Yeah, in my experience with bad beats the pot always gets over the $30 mark when people are holding bad beat hands.

I was at The Lodge once when a guy was all in for his last $10 and the pot only got to $28 and the all in hand and other player had a bad beat hand. It did not count due to not having $30 in the pot. The guy that was all in for his last $10 would have made like 45k if he would have had one more dollar to get the pot to $30. Instead he ended up having to immediately leave from the ridicule and lynch mob that had developed from his table. The others on the table felt robbed and I thought at one point that this guy was going to be killed. Turns out he had more money in his pocket, but elected to go all in with the remainder of his money on the table. That would suck! Let this be a rule to you kids to at least have $15 on the table while you're playing.

I've also heard a horror story of a guy that was so excited about a bad beat that he threw his cards on the table and one card flew off the table annulling the bad beat, but I don't know if this is fact or just a rumor.
