Simply incredible. Outstanding cast, good script, and great violence. Not to mention Vera Farmiga is easy on the eyes.

Question: Was Mark Wahlberg on Costello's payroll, too? Or was it that when Leo died, and I'm assuming that Leo instructed Vera to give the letter to Mark, Mark went out on his own to do his own Charles Bronson-type justice?

I think the implication was that Wahlberg was actually a clean cop whose loyalty was to Queenan first, and only then to the staties, and that he was exacting revenge.
