Not bad for a .01/.02 table!

Actually, I'm running like ass...gonna post a couple PLO8 hands from a $5r elsewhere tomorrow. Three + hours of solid kickass play shot to shit by asshats who think calling preflop potted bets out of position with KT55 double suited is good poker. From 17th to out in 66th in three hands...

Fixed your post!

Also post those hands. Tourney poker can be super rough on your confidence.

that is really cool. not much is better than free money.

I can't figure out if I am running good or not. About a month ago i was running sick....but that was after running terribly for about 4 months.

Any Omaha hands would be interesting. That has been the game I have been focusing on lately. I would highly recomend picking hands after you bust out to simulate. I posted some hands on 2+2 and a guy/girl ran them through a simulator and I was surprised to see the results. I will post a link to the simulator.......it is on my home computer.

Okay, well here's a couple of PLO8 tourney hands. I'd posted them earlier with results whited out and comments, but the website ate my post. So eff it, so special treatment, just a cut/paste below. These are two consecutive hands. To set up the story, this was a $5r PLO8 tourney. I'd rebought up front and I think I added on, so I was in for either $10 or $15. 550-something started the tourney; 81 paid, and when the first hand took place, I was 17th of 64 remaining. I'll let the hands speak for themselves.

I'm happy for any comments. I realize I could have folded the first hand pf in the small blind, but given my stack and preflop odds, I thought it was worth seeing the flop.

After the 2nd of these hands, I was 62nd of 62 remaining (I think I was down to like 700 chips). Managed to get back up to 7500 until the sick hand I posted on my blog today took me out in 55th or 56th, or something like that.

Mondogarage: bets 6000 I check fold here. I guess firing once is okay but I am done with the hand if called unless my hand improves drastically. We are officially betting on the come when drawing to a straight that isn't even the nuts with a flush draw we don't have out and there is a definite low that we have no piece of so we are only playing for half. I don't like it.

Mondogarage: bets 9000 Bleh... Pot. I think betting anything less is no good. You need to find out where you are now. Checking is also a good option to keep the pot small on the river. We have a hand but I think we are only playing for half now and we don't even have the nuts.

Mondogarage: bets 3000 I mean, we could check here, I don't think our hand is nearly strong enough but since he has nothing left sure. I am calling anyway so I guess the bet is okay. I think it should have gotten in on the turn though if anything.

I can fold this pre. Really this hand never had much going for it. Never did we have the nuts. I play this much slower than you did. Either that or I bet full pot on the turn.

Thanks for the comments on the first hand. I guess you can say I was semi-bluffing, and my thought on betting less than pot on the turn was to show strength. But in retrospect, that's like trying to use NLHE strategy in an Omatard game, and just silly of me in the first place.

I hadn't considered the idea of checkfolding that flop, but I can easily see why I should have, now.

Very nice Danny! You are running good!

Wish I had something to post, but I haven't played poker all month. The new job has been crazy busy. I do plan to play a tourney or two on new years. Hopefully I'll have something good to post then. Keep up the good run.
