$10K Mixed Championship (WSOP)
This is pretty damned cool.
One of the most intriguing new events at the 2008 WSOP will begin at 5 p.m. today. Players begin with 20,000 in chips and the games will roatate as follows: 2-7 triple draw lowball, limit hold'em, Omaha 8/OB, Razz, Seven-Card Stud, Stud 8/OB, no-limit hold'em, and pot-limit Omaha. Level will be 60-minutes long and the games will swithch every eight hands.

wow... other than switching between structured and non-structured poker this tourney looks great.
Re: $10K Mixed Championship (WSOP)
I assuming that since this game is spread with 2-7TD and with 3 different stud games, that the tables are probably a 8 man. That would definately make sense seeing as the games are being dealt at 8 hands/game. If this is the case, the 2-7 would still need to be a 6 man game with the button and button -1 sitting out, right?
It would certainly make things interesting as you got down to the final 2-3 tables with less than full tables...

actually when you play 2-7 TD 8 handed, UTG and UTG +1 sit out.

What I found interesting about this format was that the levels are 60 minutes broken down into 3 - 20 minute levels. During minutes 1-20 of each level, the flop games will rotate every eight hands (2-7 Triple Draw, limit hold'em, and Omaha 8 ). The ante games rotate through minutes 20-40 (Razz, Stud, Stud 8 ) and the NL/PL games rotate through minutes 40-60 (NLHE and PLO with no ante).
Do they really expect to get that many hands in every 20 minutes to rotate through all the games or does the rotation pick up where it was left off from the previous level?

I have always read and played the button and cutoff sit out.idh78 wrote:dexman1349 wrote:I assuming that since this game is spread with 2-7TD and with 3 different stud games, that the tables are probably a 8 man.
