So my family (along with my in-laws) took off for Summit County today. I'm joining them tomorrow.

So I figured I would perhaps hit Pouge Mahone's for some bar poker action tonight.

Suddenly, as I'm doing a mid-day errand, I develop a 100-degree fever. I feel like crap. So it's nyquil and bed once I finish working.

Beat.

I hit 102.6° last night. Woke up this morning feeling a little better, but still hit 101.5°. Popped some Tylenol and went back to bed. Down to 98.3° (normal for me) right now. We'll see how I feel in an hour when the Tylenol wears off.

One thing I've found that works really well with Fevers (especially with the kiddos) is alternating Tylenol and Motrin (acetominophine and ibuprofin). Since you're only supposed to take each every 4 hours, I'll alternate them on 2 hour intervals:

10am - Tylenol
12noon - Motrin
2pm - Tylenol
etc...

This usually gets rid of the fever within 6 hours (2 doses of each) assuming it's only a fever. If there's more going on (head cold, cough, diahrea, puking), I'll take something else first that will work on the primary symptom.

Hope you feel better soon...

Fever came back in the late afternoon. I held out and took some Nyquil around 8:30pm.

Woke up this morning and feel fine. Heading up to Summit County in 15 minutes.

Beat #2

Leave the house at 8:30. I drive all the way to 6th Ave and I-70 (I basically live in Parker) when I realized I forgot to pack some hiking shoes (only had Crocs). Just had to post that.

BRAG(?) : I have transported 23 pairs of Crocs to Sweden over the past two years to my in-laws and friends. They cost about $100 over there (thanks to Mr. Forsberg).

Actually, my in-laws bought me the pair of Crocs I own. I would never spend $30 of my own money on a pair of plastic sandals. I will admit they are handy for running out to the mailbox and on boats.
