I took down both the regular tournament (9-handed) and consolation table (7-handed) tonight. Now have $25 gift certificate and free appetizer. First beer is on me. Let me know what date works best for everyone.

I will also say that if I end up head's up with any of you at a TPT event, I will concede the winner's cert to you in exchange for first prize bar tab.

Heading there tonight with a friend.

Offer still stands (on both beer and winner certs).

Will be wearing jeans and a brown polo-type shirt.

Celtic is nicer (and about three times bigger), but Pogue's does have $3.75 Guinness during poker.

Honestly, I don't understand how they can stay in business. It's kind of hidden in a very non-descript (and very vacant) strip mall, and I can't imagine them generating that much traffic (or even enough regulars).

Thanks for the beers pseudo, that was a good time. I think it was great that we ended up heads up for that game. I told you that I would not let you win! Now I just need to see if I can get ahold of a winners cert to go with the consolation certs so that they are actually worth something.

We'll have to try that again at either Pogue's or FuNuGyZ.

Since we each have a free appetizer waiting for us at Pogue's, let's plan on next Tuesday (7/15).

My lesson learned from last night: actually look at the other person's chip stack before trying to bully. (And it didn't help she hit TPTK on the flop.)

I'll also show up earlier than 6:35 to sign up. Coming late into a 2-table tourney really does hurt.

That works for me.

Showing up earlier would definately be beneficial. Getting to sit down as the blinds went to 50/100 with only 1500 meant I had to get lucky very quickly to stay alive (which obviously didn't happen). With only 2 tables, if you're on the waitlist you're screwed. The waitlist at FuNuGyZ wasn't as bad because they were running 4 tables and were turning people a lot more quickly.

If you get there before I do put my name on the list.

Change of plans. My wife and I have a seminar to attend that starts at 6 tomorrow night and won't be over until after 7:30. If I came by, I wouldn't be able to play and I don't want to interrupt your game for an appetizer. Is this something we could postpone a week?

I leave for Sweden next Monday. We could do this Thursday instead (or next Sunday at 6pm).

I think Thursday might be possible. I'll have to double check with the better half for clearance, but I don't see any issues.

Sorry, but I have to bail on poker tonight.

Keith -- if you can get there by 6:30-ish, I can certainly meet you for a beer. Unfortunately, I have to leave by 7.

I'm not worried about it. We can meet up after you get back from overseas.

I understand now, you're a closet degenerate. You love living the lifestyle as long as the family is unaware... Very Happy

I'm sure we can pull you away from the family once in a while...

Exactly. 49-50 weeks out of the year, I live vicariously through all of stories I read on these boards.
