New Years Day Empty New Years Day

Post  Scrupboy Tue Jan 06, 2009 9:01 pm

Finally played some poker on New Years. Made the final table at GG for the $80 noon tournament. I come in with the chip lead with 140k in chips and blinds at 10/20k. All is looking well until I get it all in on a flop of A-7-2 with pocket 7s. Opponent has pocket aces and I end up crippled with only 45k left. I bust out in 5th for $350 and the four remaining players chop for $1020 each. A good start to the new year? Maybe, good I made the money on my first tourney of the year, but bad that I didn't end up with a top 3 finish after having the chip lead on the final table.

Chip leader only has 7BB at the final table? Jeez, shove or fold, I guess.

I submit that is a nice start to the year, however. Well done!
