Argh.. I feel like this is such an easy decision. I probably should have folded on 5th and since I did call I should have called to 7th. What do you think?

You are correct on the first count, but having called 5th, you could still fold 6th there, because even if you hit your 7, you're almost certainly behind.

Ok, I'm a total Razz rookie so forgive what may be some obvious questions.

The 3h is your door card, right?

So when he calls your first bet, what range of cards are you putting him on? It seems to me that nearly anything that has you beat would be worth a raise rather than call (unless he's the passive type). A23, A24, A25, 234, and 235 are all reraising hands, right? So what are the calling hands against an opening raiser with a 3, when you have a deuce up?

How passive/agressive is this guy? Has he been playing "tricky"?

I dunno, it may just be my naivete, but something here doesn't add up.

Really good point korkscrew. If I am in his spot I raise to try and get it heads up with a real hand. I probably just got outplayed. The more I look at this the more I think this was an awful awful fold.

I still don't see it...I only see the fold as awful, if you're able to induce a fold by raising on 5th.

Why? What hand do you think leodow43 might have here?

ETA: And when are you going to show up at one of my games? You're the only other guy in Longmont on these boards and I've never met you. How does that happen? BTW, there's about $700 at the table this Saturday... I'm just sayin...

I think he's likelier to be drawing to a 75 or 74 than he is to be stone cold bluffing here, as of 5th. Which means you likely need to draw two cards lower than the 6 to possibly be ahead.

As for your game, I just haven't had time for home games lately...I've got a band that's been gigging every other weekend now, and rehearsals, so I'm trying to be sensitive to how much other time I spend doing stuff wifey isn't involved with. This weekend's game sounds juicy, but my band's playing at the Toad Tavern on Saturday night.

So you're thinking something like 5T or 48 in the hole? Would those be calling hands on the first round?

Seriously, I don't get to play Razz very much and I would like to know.

I'm thinking something like 54 or 53, possibly as bad as T5, but without a read on his previous aggression/bluffing, an average range is way ahead of Danny here, and that he only beats a stone cold bluff. I think villian wanted to see that he had a "more" made hand before betting when the bets go up.

Thing is, I could be wrong, and he could be bluffing all the way, but your hand is still really bad.
