I lost too much money playing with your guide.... Mad

I'll just go back to doing my own "special" math where 10 x 10 = 1000
did you really? If so that sucks.

Actually, the first two SNGs I played using that guide, I was either 1st or 2nd out. But I choose to call that the ass end of variance - as it still makes sense....

My wife doesn't really like poker, but understands that I enjoy the game and will play for me. Embarassed

On another note, if you need her seat I can always alternate with her. She would be more comfortable if she didn't HAVE to play and be subjected to the 30 minute rule, etc. (she wouldn't win a big pot and just exit the game)

My wife doesn't really care for the game either, but as long as I'm playing with someone else's money and not using family time to do it, she's cool.

My wife actually plays, and enjoys 2-5 donkey style on rare occasions. She's also won her share of 60 player bar tourneys, but shies away from playing real buy-ins. Not sure why, because she's great at reading people and situations, but she really only looks at it as recreation and doesn't want to play for real stakes. Aside from the very rare $10-20 buyin home tourney with all folks she knows, I can't get her to play a home game for anything.

I think, in her case, it has more to do with her general frugal nature. Going up the hill 2x a year with a rack or so of white chips doesn't faze her. But buying in $100 to a tourney does, and even her previously winning doesn't really seem to change that.

My wife is actually a good poker player. Her problem is she hates dealing with the personalities and the trash talking at the tables. She's played a few tournaments up the hill and has gone deeper then me in a few instances. Just needs more aggression and to weed out the trash talk at the tables. She also does not have the patience for poker and with the slot action just a few steps away, she would much rather enjoy the small highs and large lows of the slot machine.

Mine just doesn't like sitting. She see's no fun in it and loses interest quickly. Now if I said lets go skiing and climb a mountain she would be there in a heartbeat.

Put a couple phone books in the driver's seat, and you'll have one even after another month, even when your wife isn't with you!

POSSIBLE RULES AMENDMENT!!!! READ AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!

It is looking like we will be having a full table everyone! More have expressed interest and we are now looking at a 10 handed game! The rule change would be to add in a missed blind button and allowing anyone to elect out of any game at any time. The missed blind buttons would be in place so a player can't just sit out blinds and come back in after them without paying thier fair share. If you elect to sit out a game you will be given a missed blind button and will not be allowed back into that game until you post both the small and big blinds or in stud, the ante and the bring in. This will also allow players to sit out Triple Draw, or any other game, for those who have not played, and give them a chance to sit back and observe the game and learn! If anyone objects than we will play as planned but since we are getting more than expected I thought this rule might come in handy. What does everyone think?

Oh and in case you all were wondering it was kkravec and his better half looking to come out and play!

Perhaps you can use just one seat for the wife and I. I doubt that she wants to play the entire time and others could better utilize the seat.
