Back and Crown Lanes

So one of my aboslute fave local bands is playing Friday night, which means I'll be at Crown Lanes for the DPT early on.

That is, I'll be there unless something between now and then keeps me from being able to go to the show Friday night. If'n youse guys wanna show, I'll be there. That is all.

As always, I will try to be there to help a fellow poker player spend his bar bucks... but as usual I probably won't be able to make it. One of these days I may surprise you and actually show up to one of these donkfests bar games.

I might be able to convince my wife to unhook the ball and chain for the evening, but most likely not.

Friday nights are typically hard for me to get out of the house.

Well, it's not as if I'm going to donk off $50 in bar bucks in one night...seriously, I do a cheeseburger, onion rings, and soda there, so I'll have plenty down the road. +25 more, when I take it down yet again this week.

It's more an issue of a question of how soon I get down there again, but that's a whole different thing.

Well, I try to call in just after noon on Wednesday (I'm #19 right now, they always run 2-3 tables.) Last week, I didn't call until Thursday afternoon, and was still #22 on the list and sat down with the initial group of players (2 tables).

I have no idea if I can call in multiple names, but if you want me to do so in the future, maybe we can have a post here with everyone's name on it, and I can do so.

Thing is, I don't always know if there's a show I want to see on a Friday night (or even if I can go) by Wednesday, and I won't call unless I'm really planning on showing up. For instance, I didn't know about the Hot IQs show until last night, and didn't figure until this morning I could actually go.

Actually, I know for sure i can't make it. Amanda doesn't get off of work until 7:30 and I can't really justify to her that we need a baby sitter for a couple of hours for a poker game. Hopefully when her schedule changes in a couple of weeks, I can make it.

Yeah, I'll be there by about 6:30, wearing a grey short sleeve button-down shirt, and carrying a fistful of bowling bucks. Pitcher of Bud Light on me for whatever Poker In Colorado crowd shows. I won't be drinking it, because I like good beer.

Will do. Funny thing is, I've never sat at John's table. The first 9-10 players on the list every week just plop down there. Ironically, the play at that table seems much LAGgier and worse, routinely, from where I'm observing from.











That's probably because I'm usually at the other table.
