holy shit...ak1971 wrote:Going into day 5 hes in 24th place with 1,268,000 in chips with 189 runners left
The only time I actually played with Jamal was at the Gilpin about a year ago in the $300. He was a nice guy, good for him.
Re: Jamal and the Main Event
Oddly enough, he hasn't shown up in any of the live reporting hands, but that's good...he's flying under the radar.
I wonder whether, if he makes it through the weekend (not necessarily even final table, but a six-figure payday if he goes out late today), whether he sticks around to try the WPT Championship at Bellagio.
It would be tough, because the final Day 1 is tomorrow, so I would guess not.

Looks like he's going to limp into Day 6. Took some sizeable hits to his chip counts. Guaranteed $77k.

Table 8
Seat 1: Chris Crilly – 1,183,000
Seat 2: Craig Marquis – 1,748,000
Seat 3: Felix Osterland – 786,000
Seat 4: Jamal Sawaqdeh – 888,000
Seat 5: Jamal Kunbuz – 3,327,000
Seat 7: Mike Matusow – 1,169,000
Seat 8: Tiffany Michelle – 3,438,000
Seat 9: Jeremy Gaubert – 578,00
I think this is probably the featured table, with Matusow and the chick with all the chips.

Re: Jamal and the Main Event
Jamal Sawaqdeh and Geoffrey Herzog both committed 100,000 to the pot preflop and saw the board come KcTs5s. Sawaqdeh then announced all-in for his final 441,000, and Herzog made the call. Sawaqdeh showed KhJh for top pair, while Herzog held AsQs for the nut flush draw. The 8d came on the turn and Sawaqdeh dodged the river as well when the 4c came down.

All in with KJ? Jamal's a donk.
If he makes it through today, I'm gonna be on pins and needles tomorrow, since I'll be on a longass plane flight during play. Go, Jamal, go!

Jamal Sawaqdeh Eliminated in 74th Place ($77,200)
Jamal Sawaqdeh limped in before Jamal Kunbuz raised it up to 125,000. Chris Crilly flat called in the small blind as did Sawaqdeh.
The flop came {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Crilly moved all in for about 775,000. Sawaqdeh called for his tournament life, and Kunbuz, who covered both players, also made the call.
Kunbuz: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Crilly: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Sawaqdeh: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
The turn was the {10-Diamonds} to give Crilly a two-outer and the river was the {K-Hearts} as Sawaqdeh is eliminated in 74th place.
Crilly takes the hut pot to almost triple up to 2.7 million, with Kunbuz slipping back to under 2 million.
