Played a little 3-6 Limit in KC. They were spreading 3-6 and 5-10 both will a full kill. They had a waitlist for 1-2 NL but it didnt get going till like 9. The room (Ameristar) is a pretty nice room with about 15 tables. I guess the bad beat at Harrahs was $160K, so they only had 4 tables when I got there. They dont give away free booze in KC, so the two effects, are you spend too much money, and the waitstaff is butt ugly. Did ok. got involved in a monster kill pot where my pocket 8s ended up making a straight on the river. Went and ate frog legs at some cajun joint in the casino. Went to the KC-Den game the next day, and well you know how that worked out. Also ate at a BBQ Joint named LCs in the hood over by Arrowhead..damn good BBQ.

Jenna and I were also in KC for the weekend and no free booze at the casino sucked, Broncos game also sucked. We ended up playing PaiGow at Harrah's and after about an hour or so Jenna headed to the slots and I headed for the poker room. They were spreading 3-6, 1-2nl and 2-5nl all with about 15-20 person wait list. Not really wanting to wait forever, I opted to not get on the list, but headed back towards the slots. Only good thing for us about the Broncos game was that we were hosted by one of Jenna's business contacts and we had some free food and lots of free drinks in their box. At $7.50 a beer, it would have added up quickly to well over $100.

I know Colorado has thier little $5 limit, Missouri has a $500 limit every 2 hours and all your play is tracked with your players card. I can't really say it's wierd b/c we live here, just different and leaving my Harrah's card at home made for a nice little 20+ minute wait for a replacement card, oh let the fun begin there.

AK...was Ameristar overflowing with people, Harrah's was so busy, really hard to even walk through the tables to get anywhere. I know it was a busy weekend in KC with Denver in town and Nascar also there, but still seemed very crowded.

After the game, Jenna and I headed to a little fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House that we got free tickets to and wandered through for some quick snacks before heading to Houston's for dinner. I had a great burger there and they are the same company that owns The Cherry Cricket and they are opening a Houston's a couple blocks from there. It'll be well worth the trip to Cherry Creek area to have dinner there when they open.

Ameristar wasnt too crowded, the place is huge..two complete floors of casino. The whole thing with $500 ever two hours comes from when they were truely riverboats. The boats went out on the river for two hours, and you had to cash in on the shore.

Is this $500 in total wagers? How do they track bets/calls in a hand by a specific player? Or is that only purchasing no more than $500 in chips?
